Le Genevrier is a typical 19th century Perigordian farmhouse with four bedrooms and 4 bathrooms it comfortably sleeps 8. This pretty farmhouse has been modernised over the years, and significantly extended and refurbished during the autumn of 2010 . The property, which is listed with 'Batiments de France' has two-foot thick walls is over two hundred years old. The roof space which was originally used to dry tobacco leaves, has now been incorporated to provide accommodation on two floors. The farmhouse and its adjoining courtyard is situated facing East/West and therefore gets the sun all day long. The lower terrace at Le Genevrier has a private 10mx4m pool and is surrounded by large private gardens with an assortment of fruit trees in the orchard.
The property overlooks the River Dordogne and enjoys extensive views of the river and the surrounding countryside. The farmhouse is one side of a typical French grassed courtyard situation with a large L shaped barn forming the other two sides. The fourth side is open overlooking the lower pool terrace and our two-and-a-half acre field. The field itself stretches down to the river bank. The courtyard has a plain tree in the centre which provides much welcome shade during the summer months. The long driveway provides ample space for parking.
